6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Location: TEIA Clubhouse For More Info: Call Stephanie Castle Or Monica Stevenson, 766-2010 Live Entertainment by the Uncalled Four Special thanks to TEIA, Hannigans Market, and Port Island Realty for helping to sponsor our 10th annual PeaksFest 2011 opening party! 10th Annual PeaksFest Community Schmoozefest For 10 years now, we've been putting our summer schmoozing into high gear here on Peaks Island at our traditional PeaksFest kickoff party! Join your neighbors and make some new friends at the TEIA clubhouse. We provide some starter refreshments and we invite you to join in the community spirit by bringing your favorite snacks, master kitchen creations, hors d'oeuvres, bottles of wine, or a pitcher of your favorite summer cocktails! It's a BYOB event and we're hoping you'll bring enough to share. We'll also be entertained by a special PeaksFest 10th anniversary performance of the reunited island a capella singing group the Uncalled Four with its repertoire of our favorite Peaks Island songs! And you just never know what other surprises and goodies you'll find!

7:30 pm - 10:00 pm TEIA Clubhouse Call Mike Sylvester, 766-5758 Bingo & Belly-Laughs Benefit for PICW Our own island comedian Mike Sylvester takes over this year as emcee of one of our favorite PeaksFest activities. BINGO! $1.00 gets you in the door and buys you two bingo cards. Special packs of 12 bingo cards and a dauber will be available for $5.00. And additional bingo cards will cost .35 each or 4 for $1.00. We'll have fun prizes for those lucky enough to scream BINGO! And adults can bring a favorite "adult beverage" to sip and share. Start Twittering #BingoTips and warm up your BINGO shoutin' pipes for a night of PeaksFest fun to benefit the Childrens Workshop. PICW will also be selling some awesome brownies to give you a good chocolate buzz as you play and laugh. #Yum!

8:00 pm - 11:00 pm Eighth Maine Regiment Memorial (around the corner from Fifth Maine) Call, 766-5086 Live Performance by Parcel of Rogues Donations: $7 (kids $4) Scottish Ceilidh Dance & Concert Let your hair down and get your knees up with a contra-dance Scottish style! Dance to the traditional and contemporary music of Scotland with the quartet Parcel of Rogues. Then as the skirl of the bagpipes fades, sit back as these talented musicians transport you to the wilds of Scotland. You'll smell the peat fires as the twin fiddles entwine around one another in rich harmony. You won't be able to stop you toes from tapping, so come and relish the timeless sounds and merriment of a traditional local Scottish ceilidh.
