PeaksFest 2008 is Here!

It’s our seventh annual PeaksFest!

Pace yourself. It’s gonna be another big, packed, fun weekend!

And this year’s PeaksFest 2008 t-shirts are awesome. They sell out quickly every year, so be sure to get yours early. Since you’ve taken the time to look at the website, I’ll let you in on a little secret: the PeaksFest 2008 t-shirts will be available early at the Peaks Cafe downfront! Woo-hoo!!

Make your plans to join us at the kick-off event at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20th. It’s our 7th annual Community Schmoozefest cocktail party. It’s BYOB, so feel free to bring some wine or cocktails to share, as well as a fun appetizer, if your so inclined. Dave Gagne and the Uncalled Four will provide the Schmooze-worthy entertainment.

During the Schmoozefest, a new set of Chair Creations will be exhibited for the start of another amazing chair auction. You can also buy raffle ticket for the afghan that was knitted by 18 Peaks Islanders.

And stick around after the Schmoozefest for our first ever Gong Show talent contest hosted by the Peaks Island Improv Troupe. Past year’s Idol Competitions have been packed, so this ought to be even more of a hoot!

The whole weekend’s PeaksFest event schedule has been posted online and can be downloaded as a PDF, so take some time to look it over. You can check back here for for any last minute updates. The event schedule will also be available in printed paper form at the usual locations around the island.
