PeaksFest 2009 Is Here!

And It’s Our Eighth Annual PeaksFest!

Pace yourself. It’s gonna be another big, packed, wet weekend!

The PeaksFest 2009 t-shirts are here, the schedule is jammed packed and everyone’s VERY excited! 

Make your plans to join us at the kick-off event at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19th. It’s our 8th annual Community Schmoozefest cocktail party and it’s a BYOB, so feel free to bring some wine or cocktails to share, and maybe a fun appetizer, too.

And stick around after the Schmoozefest for our the big PeaksFest Bingo game!  We had such a great time playing Bingo last year that we made it our big Friday night event this year.  All money we raise will go to buy a new LCD projector for all Peaks Island non-profits and other organizations to share, so it’s Bingo for a good cause.  And you can win some fun prizes too, just for being the first to shout, BINGO!

The whole weekend’s PeaksFest event schedule has been posted online and can also be downloaded as a PDF. Print one out so you are sure not to miss any of the highlights, from the gigantic yard sale, to the House Island and Fort Scammel Tours, to the pie eating contest, cookies, cupcakes, pancakes, strawberry shortcakes, etc, etc, etc!  (Also, you can look for printed copies of the PF Schedule at the usual locations around the island.)

There’s a little bit of PeaksFest in all of us just waiting to bust out, so have fun PeaksFesting!!
